-Designed / wrote an Excel utility called Workbook Compare. Workbook Compare is a Microsoft Excel Visual Basic For Applications (VBA) utility which compares Excel spreadsheets for regression testing of Excel data. This object oriented utility uses a light footprint design to minimize the touching of the spreadsheets' data being compared and gives users 100% absolute certainty that there are no differences in their data except those that are expected. -Designed and wrote a Microsoft Excel VBA utility called Batch SQL From Excel. Batch SQL From Excel is an Excel/SQL Server utility that facilitates creating batch SQL in a friendly Excel environment. See www.higherdata.com/sql/batchsqlfromexcel.html to download.
-Wrote a timetracker in MS Access that uses VBA and completely custom Access forms (with no macros – only VBA). The timetracker logs hours for a variety of clients and facilitates billing.

-Developed business software for a few-billion-dollar hedge fund client with a SQL Server 2000/2005 (T-SQL) backend and Microsoft Excel (VBA) & Visual Studio.Net (VB.Net) frontends. Wrote complex financial tools for the entire spectrum of client needs using linear and set-based programming with an iterative development style in a real-world, fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
-Designed and wrote a .Net/SQL Server/Excel application used to close out trades.
-Wrote and maintained a complex Net/SQL Server/Excel Application used to place trades and allocate them across the many funds the client had.
-Designed a parallel disaster recovery environment for the client site based in another city. Extensively tested the parallel environment and used a 2nd instance of SQL Server to compare and match results on a daily basis.
-Wrote and extended many other financial Excel and SQL Server tools which used many of Excel’s most advanced functions and interoperated between Excel, .Net and SQL Server.

Software Development Engineer. Contractor for 2 years and then hired as an employee.
-Designed and wrote a financial database and reporting workflow tool in MS Access VBA and Microsoft Excel VBA. Performed data analysis using all of the hundreds of metrics x time x currencies to arrive at an efficient Access forms UI and Excel reporting output. The financial database imported incongruous data sets into an MS Access custom financial database and consolidated them into several Excel printable reports. The tool was used by the CEO, CFO and finance department of Gap Inc weekly.
-Wrote an Excel tool to create new product lines and track them in a workflow environment.
-Wrote and maintained an extensive Excel VBA workflow tool used to allocate merchandising plans for several of Gap’s divisions.
-Wrote dozens of other Excel tools for many of Gap’s companies and division which were designed for a multi user environment and took Excel to the limits in terms of features available.

-Wrote an interview database for a Bay Area city, an Access database used to track a multitude of interviews and report baseline results. The tool was geared to friendly use and speed of entry and used continuous forms.
-Wrote complex billing application for a home medical products company. The tool simplified a long entire day’s manual process and converted it into a fast process which could be done several times to compare results.
-Wrote an Access tool for a small company which sells products in schools. The tool had several entry forms using Access forms and simplified the workflow of creating a sale and tracking it across several dimensions.
